Looking for festive ways to decorate the table for your holiday breakfast? I host a book club holiday brunch the first Sunday in December every year. And decorating the table is a favorite part of my prep for it ;).

In fact, I actually make my holiday brunch a potluck so that I don’t have to be responsible for all the food.

And then I can focus more on making the table pretty 😂.

Before I go any further too – I should say that having a book club with my friends has truly been one of my biggest blessings. If you are thinking of starting one yourself, I suggest you read my post on how to do so in six easy steps :).

Last year I was given the opportunity to work with Lenox China which really helped me set a beautiful table for my friends. I am looking forward to getting together with them in a few weeks with the same setup I used last year ;).

In a rush?

Decor on the Table

I start with a white table runner on my table so that anything I place on it will stand out.

Then, I have found that using a large tray in the middle of the table as your main centerpiece helps in keeping it simple and clean.

I put faux snow, glitter trees, and Christmas ornaments on the tray and it gives the table a very elegant look.

Because my dining room table is so long, I have two smaller vignettes on either side of the large tray.

This is where you have to use the rule of three with whatever you choose to use on your table.

My choice for these side vignettes is two Christmas balls of different sizes and a candleholder.

The above mercury candleholder is over ten years old and I cannot link it anymore but here is a pretty alternative.

If you have read any of my previous tablescape posts, you know I found the above votive holders on my vacation in Grand Teton National Park last summer. They have the mountain range etched on them which makes them extra special to me.

Since I found them last June, I have used them on every table setting I have decorated.

I added more gold votive holders around the table with gold pinecones and mini stars to complete the elegant look.

Place Settings

As I mentioned above, last year I worked with Lenox to set the place settings at my holiday brunch and then Christmas breakfast table.

The embroidered napkins are from a few years ago however a similar patterned napkin can be found here.

The champagne gold chargers have been useful for many of my tablescapes including Thanksgiving and Galentines Day.

Decor in the Dining Room

Hanging wreaths on my dining room built in doors is one of my favorite holiday decorations.

Oh who am I kidding? I love everything related to the season ;).

I found the wreaths years ago but have found a few other options for you below.

The top shelf of the built in has another silver tray to contain the glitter trees and bronze reindeer.

While the bottom shelf is kept minimal (mainly for cleaning purposes!) because I find dusting during this season to be quite a hassle if there are multiple objects in the way ;0.

The slim tree and star topper are new finds this year that fit perfectly in the corner next to my built in.
