To get the best exchange rate in Slovenia, it is best to use your credit card as often as possible - and pay 'in current currency' when doing so. Bank ATMs are my only recommended place to get Euros to avoid unnecessary additional fees and the best exchange rate. Bank ATMs are widely available throughout Slovenia.
