Create a cozy fall front porch using just a few neutral colored items. Everyone that knocks on your front door will love how warm and welcoming your first impression space is 🍁.
These next four months are my favorite for decorating my front porch.
Oh – who am I kidding? I love these next four months for inside and outside the house ;).
Being as how the front porch is the first space in your home your guests will see, it can be a fun place to let them know how welcome they are at your home this season.
As I mentioned in my previous fall home posts so far this year, I haven’t changed much from last year’s spaces. I have added a couple of new items here and there but overall most of my fall decor has been collected over the years.
To help you get your home ready for the season, I have joined a great group of bloggers that are sharing fall spaces in their homes too.
If you are coming here from Jayne at Chalking Up Success, welcome! I hope you loved all of her fun fall inspiration and are ready for more ;).

Items to Make A Cozy Fall Front Porch
Wreaths and Garlands
This is the second year I have used the wreath and garland on my front porch and excitedly this style is still being sold ;).
I was drawn to the more neutral colors of these items and love how they look with my wooden front door.
But in fact, their neutral color would look fabulous with any color front door ;).
Rugs with a Doormat
All the big designers (ahem Studio McGee, Serena & Lily, Magnolia Home) started putting a 4×6 or 5×7 rug underneath their doormats years ago.
Doing so really accentuates doormats and I have fallen in love with the look ;).
You can find the fall rug pictured below here (mine is the 3×5 size) and the pumpkin welcome doormat with customizable pumpkin colors as an option here.
Decorative Items to Add to Your Porch
If you have the space to add a bench to your front porch, I would highly recommend it!
Besides being a great place to sit on your front porch, it is also where almost all of our smaller deliveries are left (and easy to find!) 😂.
Adding a fall colored throw with some festive pillows is the perfect way to welcome your friends and family this season ;). I have linked some options below for you.
Mixing faux pumpkins with real pumpkins is an easy way to decorate your front porch as well.
If you have read any of my previous fall posts, you know I am a tad obsessed with these faux apples.
And have mentioned that I have them everywhere around my fall home – including my front porch ;).
The vintage wooden ice cream bucket was a fun Etsy find many years ago!
These faux mums have saved this non-green thumb girl’s fall decorating talents!! There is absolutely no risk of me killing these beauties :)!
I hope you found some inspiration for easy ways to make a cozy fall front porch in this post.
These next couple of months are going to fly (as all of 2023 has – hasn’t it?!). And prepping your home for the seasons ahead can be one of the many enjoyable parts of the next four months :).
Don’t forget to keep scrolling to find plenty more fall decor ideas from my talented friends including Michelle at Thistle Key Lane.
