It’s time for my Welcome Home Saturday – Summer 2022 edition guest host blog post! One of my favorite posts each season ;).
A lot has happened since my last Welcome Home Saturday post. And for those of you unfamiliar with what Welcome Home Saturday is – a group of talented blogging friends host this weekly newsletter type post and invite a guest blogger to join them ;).
Every time I participate – I think, oh I should do this type of post more often. With or without the weekly guest blogging opportunity.
But for those of you that are on my email subscriber list – you know my consistency with update blog posts or email updates needs improvement 😂.
Nonetheless – be sure to scroll below to see the updates from this group of bloggers for the week!
As an Amazon Influencer, I earn from qualifying purchases. Some of the other links on this site are also affiliate links, which means I might earn a small commission if you love something as much as I do at no additional cost to you… but I only recommend what I actually like myself!

Welcome Home Saturday – Summer 2022
Our Kitchen Remodel is Done!
Alleluia!
It was a seven week project from the first day the contractor’s started ripping out my wall. But technically the bifold door and window were purchased in early April so does that make the process longer? That anticipation for their arrival was HUGE!
I will be writing an entire blog post on this project that literally changed the entire look of my kitchen but for now here is a sneak peek of the space (THAT I AM ENAMORED WITH NOW!!).
My Entire Family Met in Grand Teton National Park this Month
My family, the families of my two sisters, and my mom all met up in my mom and dad’s favorite place, Grand Teton National Park, at the beginning of June to celebrate my mom and dad’s 55th wedding anniversary.
If you haven’t been to this breathtaking part of the USA – it absolutely must be on your bucket list!
You can read my entire blog post (and save it to your bucket list Pinterest page) here!
I spent my weekends from the ages of 9-16 in this park and have returned often because it truly is a special place that will always bring peace to my soul.
Plus those views are kinda SPECTACULAR – and worthy of anyone’s vacation time!!
And We Hired a Flytographer
My dad passed away from prostate cancer back in 2006. But my entire family knows he is always with us when we are in the Tetons.
And my family has not gotten “entire family” photos since a family wedding we attended back in 2014. Needless to say – we were LONG overdue for this special memento.
I gifted my mom a Flytographer photo shoot in her and my dad’s special place as her Christmas, birthday, anniversary present this year.
If your parents are anything like mine – is there really anything they (actually ME TOO!) – want but time with their family and special photos to treasure the memories made there forever?
If you are still on the fence about a Flytographer photo shoot or need to know more about this fabulous company – be sure to read my post all about them!
You can also save $25 on your first photo shoot with them using code PASHAISHOME ;).
Be sure to go take a peek!
I Finally Published My Portugal Travel Guides
Remember how I went to Portugal with my husband back in April? Well those travel guides are finally here on the blog!
And they were VERY fun to write ;).
And remember how awesome that vacation was ;).
I wrote it all down for you in a series of four posts. You can find all of them here.
And yes – Portugal should ABSOLUTELY be on your bucket list!!!!
I Celebrated My 52nd Birthday This Week
While I struggle to accept the fact that I am well into my 50’s now, I am also fully aware of the gift of BEING IN MY 50’s. So many people do not even make it this far.
Life is fragile.
And I am working on embracing everything that comes with getting older.
Even the wrinkles… well maybe.
My husband and I spent the day going out to breakfast and then walking to the San Diego County Fair. Where we only lasted about two hours until our sensory overload kicked in and we left.
After we ate all the fair foods our bellies could handle that is…
And no – we did not go on a single crazy fair ride (in case you are wondering!).
We Are Hosting a Fourth of July Celebration Next Weekend
On Father’s Day, my neighborhood friends asked me if I would be hosting my annual Fourth of July party on July 3rd…
I was like – ummm no??
And then the more I polled (via Instagram and everyone else that was at my house on Father’s Day), I realized oh – many people will be celebrating this patriotic holiday on the 3rd this year because the actual holiday is on a Monday and many people have to work on Tuesday!
So now my neighborhood has 3rd of July plans. But we also decided to have a pickle ball tournament in our cul-de-sac early in the afternoon on the 4th.
So there will be lots of eating, drinking, and celebrating and enjoying each other’s company all next weekend!
Oh – and I wrote a whole blog post on hosting a Fourth of July party if you are doing one too :). You can read that post here!
I also have a Fourth of July home tour on the blog that was published last week if you wanna see how I used some simple and easy patriotic decor around the house ;).
