YAY! I finally wrote the very first Pancakes with Pasha post! I am so excited to be starting this series and to have a place to share with you all the things that are inspiring me lately in hopes they will inspire you too!
And what better day to publish my first Pancakes with Pasha than the day after Thanksgiving and the official kickoff to the holiday season!!
I guess I should start by explaining why I decided to call this series Pancakes with Pasha though -huh?
Ever since I can remember, I have loved making pancakes!
Like homemade not from a mix pancakes (it’s easier than you think btw!).
Also – I am NOT A COFFEE OR TEA DRINKER.
So calling this series “Coffee with Pasha” would just be an outright lie.
One night I was laying in bed, desperately trying to figure out a catchy title for this series that I am really hoping to write at least once every two weeks.
And my brain was like – when I ask friends to meet in the morning, what am I asking them to do?
You can bet your bottom dollar I am thinking about where can we meet for pancakes 😂.
So there it is – Pancakes with Pasha popped into my head ;).
And yes – at some point I guess I better share my homemade pancake recipe.
But for now – the recipe for a favorite type of pancake of mine called German Pancakes or Dutch Oven Pancakes IS actually already on this blog ;).

In a rush?
So Here’s What Pancakes with Pasha is All About
What I’m Currently Planning
Now that it is officially Christmas season – I guess it is pretty obvious that I am focusing on gift giving!!!
So my issue with sharing my ideas here is this – my kids may or may not actually read this post!
So my solution to that (at least for stocking stuffers anyway) – is to give you the link to my Like to Know It post with so many fun ideas for stockings for “older” kids 😉 and hope my kids don’t actually go to this link too ;).
I am also hosting my book club’s annual holiday book exchange & brunch on Sunday December 4th and have been getting all the things ready for that.
We do that brunch as a potluck (which is AWESOME for me – the hostess).
I do however make my above mentioned German Pancakes, bacon (duh), and a yummy quiche.
And I provide all the fixings for mimosas and bellinis ;).
You can read all about my table setting ideas for a holiday breakfast here as well as some additional holiday breakfast recipes from blogging friends of mine ;).
And one last thing I am currently planning is a trip to England with my youngest daughter in a little over a week!!!
We are planning to visit London, Bath, the Cotswolds, and York. And obviously hit every single Christmas market we can find!!
Be sure to follow along on Instagram for all that fun!
Did you know I visited London at Christmas time with my husband back in 2018? AND I even wrote a blog post about that trip that you can read all about in hopes that it is on your own Christmas trip bucket list!!
Need a Book to Read?
The timing for my very first Pancakes with Pasha post is perfect with my book club party next weekend!
We all bring a new, wrapped book to exchange at the party.
SPOILER ALERT AHEAD FOR ANY OF MY BOOK CLUB FRIENDS READING THIS!!!
The book I chose to bring to the party is Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister.
I recently finished that book and found it sooooo good.
In fact, I finished it in two days and yes – it is one of those books that you neeeeeddd to know the ending of!!
And the book I am currently reading that came highly recommended by a couple of Instagram friends is The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margo by Marianne Cronin.
I am loving it so far but with Thanksgiving and my party next week then my trip to Europe shortly after that – I haven’t had much time to enjoy it (ahem – finish it!).
I am looking forward to having the time on the flight to London to finish it then though!
