3 simple ways to bring spring touches into the bedroom is a fun seasonal post to help you prepare and enjoy this new season of spring!
If you have read any of my previously published spring decor posts, you know I am trying to keep it pretty basic and stress-free this year!
It’s been a busy start to 2023 in my house so only making little changes here and there was a huge help in keeping my sanity lately ;).
I always love changing my Christmas bedding back to my everyday bedding and this year I made a handful of quick changes for this new spring season of renewal.
This post is also part of a huge home tour group of talented bloggers all week long!
Every day this week, six women have been sharing pieces of their hearts and homes with all of you and today is the day I am one of the featured homes!
My amazingly wonderful friend Kelly from The Tattered Pew takes a lot of time and effort to organize these home tours every season. And I just love being part of each one!
If you are coming here from Cecilia at My Thrift Store Addiction – hi!! Did you just love her spring decor inspiration?
I hope you will feel inspired with my 3 simple ways to bring spring touches into the bedroom too :).
But my bigger hope with having you visit my blog is that you feel like you belong here and that we have a connection.
And that you are now part of a friendly and supportive community!
I started this blog in late 2020 after what I thought was one of the hardest years of my life with my brother in law dying of brain cancer (his angelversary is coming up on March 26th 😢), Covid starting (and feeling like it was never going to end) with my husband being a first responder, a major mudslide completely destroying our backyard that April, and THEN our beloved dog dying.
my entire family at my nephew’s wedding in 2018
Then 2021 started and said “hold my beer 2020”.
Early 2021 brought the sudden and tragic loss of a young woman that was like a daughter/sister to my family, and later in the year, the loss of a beloved neighbor and a cardiac arrest situation for the spouse of that neighbor that involved my husband’s life saving efforts in his home.
NEEDLESS TO SAY, this creative outlet became a crucial part of my healing process and growing to feel back on track with living life :).
The people that have chosen to subscribe (and you if you subscribe now!) to my blog are a huge piece of all of that.
We have shared life stories and encouragement as well as joyful experiences with each other.
And that is what I want you to know you will find here – not just links to pretty things I like or travel guides to places I have been (don’t get me wrong – I LOVE sharing all of those things with you though!) but also connection!
And me wanting to know YOUR stories. And what joys and sorrows you have experienced.
Because that is healing. And we are in this world to be a community with each other.
Okay – all that to say – I am honestly so happy and grateful that you are here – and hopefully you choose to stay here so we can get to know each other a little better ;).
And hopefully you will feel encouraged to live your best life – because if I have learned anything in the last three years – it’s that life is freaking fragile!!
And we are not on this Earth for very long – so be kind, make the connections, share your story, and do all the things that bring you joy!!
Nooooowwww on to that spring bedroom refresh 😂 😘.

3 Simple Ways to Bring Spring Touches into the Bedroom
Spring Colored Pillows
It’s funny, I am 52 years old and it has taken until the last few years for me to feel my house looks pretty close to how I want it to look.
Now that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t love to do a complete overhaul of a few rooms in my house still.
My main bedroom got a lot of attention in 2021 (part of my healing process ;)).
And now every time I look at it – I feel a sense of calm.
Oh – and yes I love all the blue pillows in the room ;0.
A very close friend and previous neighbor of mine made me a pillow out of an old t-shirt of my dad’s (he passed away in 2006).
This pillow is kept out for the entire year except for Christmas time and is from a place my dad visited often for business and enjoyed ;).
I keep it on my bedroom window seat and think of my dad as well as my friend that so lovingly made it for me every day 🤍.
If you have lost a loved one and can sew or have a good friend that does – this could very likely be one of your most treasured items in your home.
Here are the links to the non-homemade pillows I like and have in my bedroom as well as my all time favorite pillow inserts.
A Pretty Throw Blanket
I recently purchased this gorgeous throw blanket to leave casually on the end of my bed and can honestly say – it is one of my most favorite throws in my house ;).
It was an investment – but brings me joy just by looking at it and seeing how soft it is and gorgeous the shade of blue is.
It is layered over an extra comforter at the end of our bed – that believe it or not – we have had to use on some of our extra cold California nights.
Now mind you – we leave our windows open year round at my house – and every once in a while the temps in our room dip below 60 degrees so yes that extra comforter really isn’t just for looks ;0!
I also have a light throw and a pillow in a market tote near my bed just for prettiness…
The tote was a Target find a few years ago and of course is no longer available but you can find some other options linked below.
The light white throw is from my friend Jen Bryant’s online shop.
Spring Flowers
My favorite simple change for the new season is to add a little bud vase with a flower on my bedstand.
It is the perfect spring touch!
While my bud vase was purchased over five years ago at Anthropologie and is no longer available – I have linked some pretty spring colored ones below for you…
I also love using a wreath over my bed as decor instead of a piece of art.
Truth be told – I am a little paranoid about hanging art above my head and it falling down while I am sleeping.
This fear might have to do with the earthquake risk here in SoCal – but still – a wreath is light enough that if it does actually fall on my head – I would not get too hurt 😂.
I changed the yellow ribbon that the wreath above came with to the pretty 1/2 inch wide blue colored ribbon and now I imagine this wreath will not be changed out until fall…
I hope you enjoyed my three simple ways to bring spring touches into the bedroom.
And I want to thank you for spending a few minutes of your day with me here on my blog – it truly means the world to me that you took the time to read my post.
I sure hope something here sparked some inspiration for you!
My friend Cindy from County Road 407 is sharing some ideas on how to use blues in your spring decor – my favorite color so I cannot wait to be inspired by her! I hope you go see how she uses this stunning and relaxing favorite color of mine ;).

Thanks for sharing some background at the beginning of your post, Pasha. You had a lot on your plate in 2020 and 2021! Your bedroom is lovely! I tried clicking on some of the pillow links, and the ones to Serena & Lily blocked the page with a signup, and you can’t exit without being redirected to the home page. Bummer. 🙁 I don’t think I remember you being in SoCal! I’m in Orange County, what about you? Pinned!
Oh, duh… we talked way back in 2020 about living in So Cal! LOL!
Your bedroom looks so gorgeous, Pasha. I love all the pretty pops of blue. Perfect for spring. Happy to be touring with you, As alway. Pinned!

Your bedroom is a true sanctuary, Pasha. I absolutely love this space. I feel the same way at 56 about my home finally being how I want it. It has been quite the journey getting here. Thank you for sharing your journey over the last few years. I, too, started my blog after my daughter died, and it helped me get through it. Hugs and positive thoughts for a happy 2023.

Thanks for sharing your story of the last few years pasha. Blogging is wonderful in so many ways we don’t expect when we start, right? Your bedroom is a simply stunning retreat! And the pillow is an amazing treasure – I’m pinning that idea right now. Happy Spring!

Your bedroom is pretty and the wall behind the bed makes a great statement. Blue is a great color too.
Pasha this is just the inspiration I need to refresh our bedroom. Love the idea of a simple flower on the bedside table too. Happy spring!
I’m glad your blog has been a healing process and a creative outlet for you. I’m sure you have touched A LOT of people during the past few years. I know I enjoy seeing your home and hearing your great ideas! I used to think the hotel life was so awesome and said I could live it everyday. Then I finally found my style and took time to decorate our bedroom and now would rather be in my own bedroom. So, I know how it feels to take a while but finally get a room “done”. 😉 Yours looks so comfortable and peaceful. Thank you for sharing it with us. Loved hopping with you. Happy Spring!
That bedding is so pretty, it looks so cozy! I love that quote on the sign, thank you for sharing your story and how you decorated so beautifully for Spring!
You have endured so much in the last few years! I’m so glad your blog has been healing for you. You tour was beautiful, Pasha. Happiest Easter to you and yours!💛💐
Pasha, your bedroom is so cozy and gorgeous. I love the subtle use of the blue color in your room. that keepsake pillow is a wonderful idea. I would like to do that with a shirt used to support my close friends fight against ovarian cancer. She fought hard and her loss left a huge hole in my heart. i miss her every single day. thank you for sharing your heart with us. hugs to you my sweet friend.
Hi Pasha, Your bedroom is beautiful and very calming! I also enjoyed learning more about you and how your blog started. I can relate to the healing aspect of nurturing creativity. Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
Pasha,
I always love your home tours and this one is as beautiful as ever.. Love all the Spring touches you’ve added. Happy Hopping with you.
Pasha! Your bedroom Is gorgeous! I also have a fear of putting heavy things on the wall above the bed. We used to have a huge mirror above the bed, but I quickly moved it downstairs And replaced it with a canvas picture of our family hahaha
So glad to hop with you friend!!!
[…] thru Wednesday, they’ll be linked at the bottom. And if you’ve hopped over from Pasha Is Home, welcome! Wasn’t her bedroom lovely?! It’s better than a hotel room! […]
