A Midsummer Easy Sunday Morning with Pasha

July 31, 2022

I am starting a new habit. I’m not sure how often I will be doing said habit but I do know I am calling it Easy Sunday Morning with Pasha ;).

My intentions are to write an Easy Sunday Morning with Pasha post at the very minimum once a month and make it more of a roundup of all the things I have found over the month.

Whether it be a favorite book I just read, an amazing quote I found, a super cool product that I am so excited to have found, or of course – blog posts I have published!!

I hope to also include the occasional favorite posts from my fellow blogging buddies.

I tried to get all this information in my very irregularly sent emails to those of you that are signed up for those. But then I realized – gosh dangit- those suckers are getting LONG! And truth be told – who on earth wants to read a super long email from me on the quite infrequent Sunday morning that I send them??

So instead let’s see how we do by spending some easy Sunday mornings together here – what do you think?

As an Amazon Influencer, I earn from qualifying purchases. Some of the other links on this site are also affiliate links, which means I might earn a small commission if you love something as much as I do at no additional cost to you… but I only recommend what I actually like myself!

Books I Have Read or Plan To Soon

I hosted book club on July 15th. The way our book club works is the hostess picks the book and provides all the food for our group of 11.

If you are not in a book club yet – you should definitely read my post on how to start your own book club because it is 100% worth having this fun monthly meetup to look forward to ;).

My book choice for our July meeting was The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. And I am pretty sure I can say it was one of my favorite books I have read in a long time!!

Also – if you are wondering what the menu was for our fun meeting a few weeks ago, I provided a super delicious potato bar with all the toppings!!

Then I flew across country and literally started and finished the book Run Rose Run. And while this book is a really easy summer read, the day after I finished it and subsequently started to analyze it, I decided it is only worthy of an 8 out of 10 score. There are a decent amount of completely unrealistic plot lines in the book that just kind of bothered me once I thought about it more…

Items I Have in a Cart or Have Recently Purchased and Loved

There have been A LOT of “end of summer” clothing sales lately at all of my favorite stores.

Not like I really need any new clothes (does anyone?) however who am I to walk away from a good bargain?

We recently updated our alarm system and added a Nest Hub. And what a rabbit hole that has started me down ;0!

As in a Nest doorbell, Google Assistant plugs and even light switches. It really is only a matter of time before I replace our almost twenty year old thermostat with the Nest thermostat 😂.

Did You Know I Have an Amazon “Storefront” with My Favorite Things?

In case you haven’t seen any content creator’s Amazon storefronts, it is just a funny way of wording – we put all of our favorite Amazon finds in one place for all of you to find!!

I have folders with pretty much every single thing I have purchased on Amazon in them. You can even follow storefronts if you want!

Go take a peek at my Amazon storefront when you get a chance ;).

Places I Have Recently Been

There is a big blogging conference in Atlanta every year called Haven. I have now gone two years in a row (basically since I started my blog ;)).

And when I went in 2021, I realized, wait – Atlanta is a cool city to visit! And lucky for me – my cousin lives there! So this year, I decided to fly into town four days before the conference started to explore this fun city!

I will most certainly be writing a blog post soon about my favorite Atlanta sights that you should plan on checking out too if you are ever in this southern metropolis ;).

And AFTER the conference, I flew to Charleston, SC to spend three days with my college roommate ;). This was my second time in this cobblestone filled, historical southern city and yet I still feel like there is so much to see and do!

Besides the fact that spending time with a close friend is always a good idea ;).

Quotes or Passages I Found Inspirational

I saved the best for last!! I recently found the Instagram account for the writer Lisa Buscomb. And have loved all of her inspirational posts!

Here is one of my favorite posts of hers this summer:

Well that’s about it as far as a midsummer easy Sunday morning with Pasha is concerned :). I hope you enjoyed this method of updating you instead of a super ridiculously long email!

Of course – I still plan on sending plenty of emails to you (you know – as I remember that is what a good blogger does!). But my plan is to just make those emails a tad shorter for you than they have been in the past!
