Easy Tips for an Americana Front Porch
Put Americana Pillows on a Bench
Here are the links to my exact pillows from Linen and Ivory , the blue throw, and my white front porch bench.
Using a blank slate like a white bench allows you to easily change the whole look on your front porch just by changing the throw and the pillows on a neutral bench :).
I have also found more fun suggestions for Americana pillows to add to your front porch:
Hang a Pennant Banner
While my own Americana pennant garland is literally almost ten years old, there are so many options available right now ;).
Here are just a few that I have found:
Using a floral brick , some moss, and a fun pot, you can also add these rustic flags to a little table on your porch.
Use A Patriotic Wreath and Doormat
If you have read any of my previous seasonal front porch posts, you know I am a strong advocate for layering a doormat on top of a 3×5 rug. My exact blue rug above is no longer available however this close option is just as pretty ;).
Here are the links to the above wreath (currently on sale!) and the doormat (size large shown here).
Add Some Faux (or real) Flowers and Trees
Yes – I use faux flowers outside (actually I use them inside too!). I am not responsible enough to remember to water potted plants inside or outside.
So faux works best for me. And I make sure my faux look as close to the real thing as I can possibly get! Which means – I shop around A LOT for the perfect faux plants!!
While the above potted faux hydrangea plant is currently out of stock – be sure to add yourself to their ‘notify me’ list because these are probably the best faux plant I have ever found!!
Here is a close second if you don’t want to wait for those though – and this one is on sale :).
The above ficus trees are also no longer in stock however this option may even be better than the ones I have on my porch!
I hope these simple suggestions help you in decorating your own Americana front porch.
It is such a festive and happy time of year to welcome friends and family to your home for a BBQ or any other celebration – why not have your front porch let them know how much fun they are going to have at your home?!
Jill from Bungalow 47 is sharing her own summer cottage decor here – don’t forget to see what she has to inspire you with for your summer home ;).

Pasha, your Americana porch decor is so cute and inviting! I love the ideas you shared!
Now that’s what I call a hello greeting! I love the bench and pillows. I’ve been seeing lots of faux plants outside but not until I saw your porch did I think it would look good. I am going to find that tree right now and stick it outside.
Thanks for the inspo and I enjoyed hopping with you. Stay cool!
Pasha, Your front porch is awesome. The perfect place to enjoy a summer day. I love your soft reds, white and blues. They definitely add to the Old-time Americana vibe. Have a lovely summer on your porch.
I love it all. Your porch is definitely All American. Love the bench and the rocker and that flag is perfect. Thanks so much for joining the tour this season.
