It’s coming to the end of summer days so I figured I should get a Pancakes with Pasha out there before everything fall appears ;).
I hope your first couple summer months have been filled with sunny skies while making warm summer days memories ;).
And if that hasn’t been the case (San Diego sun has just started making a daily appearance these last few weeks!) – there is still plenty of time for all of it ;).
Personally, my summer has felt quite filled – but with good things ;).
My youngest graduated from University of Oregon at the end of June and is now planning to move to New York City in September 😮 while my other two kids seem to be figuring out adult life now that they are both well into their 20’s.
Plus my husband and I just got home from a fabulous two weeks in Northern Italy that included stops in Lake Como, the Dolomites (Italian Alps), and Milan.
We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary as well as attending a Bruce Springsteen concert with friends on this trip.
We even renewed our vows on the top of a mountain in the Dolomites! We had a professional photographer with us while we did so and of course I will be sharing those pics with you as soon as I get them back from her ;).
If you aren’t following me on Instagram where I shared videos/photos from that trip – don’t worry – I will be catching up with my travel guides at some point here ;0.
Believe it or not, I actually have one more late summer trip with my oldest daughter for her birthday coming up in a couple of weeks. I would love to say then my travels will probably slow down but with two kids living on the east coast soon – I don’t think there would be any truth to that statement.
Before we get going on all the PIH stuff – here is a quick reminder of WHY I call this series ‘Pancakes with Pasha’ in case you have forgotten or are new here ;0!
I am NOT A COFFEE OR TEA DRINKER.
One night I was laying in bed, desperately trying to figure out a catchy title for this series.
And my brain was like – when I ask friends to meet in the morning, what am I asking them to do?
You can bet your bottom dollar I am thinking about where can we meet for pancakes 😂.
So there it is – Pancakes with Pasha popped into my head ;).

End of Summer Days and Pancakes with Pasha Vol. 1 No. 4
What I’m Currently Planning
For the Home
As mentioned above, fall is coming!!
And in the content creator world, fall starts earlier than September 22nd (as in mid-August!) so that we can help you be ready on that first day of the new season.
Which means – I have been looking at fall decor items I have stored in my garage bins and last year’s photos to decide how I want to fallify my home this year 🍁.
Odds are – I won’t be changing much up but looking at last year’s photos sure did get me excited to get those bins out!
If you are hoping to get an early start on your fall inspiration – go to my fall home page here!
You can also check out my fall decor items on my Amazon storefront…
For Upcoming Travels
The other thing I mentioned above is I still have a decent amount of traveling left in 2023 😮.
This includes a week in Paris to celebrate my oldest daughter’s birthday at the end of this month, visiting my other two kids in New York and Boston (with a few fall days in Maine), then my annual European Christmas market trip ~ we are hitting up the German markets this year 🇩🇪.
Btw – if you haven’t been to a European Christmas market – be sure to check out my Christmas trips category page for some great inspiration on places you should put on your holiday bucket list!
Need a Book to Read?
With all the traveling I have been doing this summer, I have had a lot of airplane reading time ;).
And I am 3/3 for loving all the books I have read so far!
Have you read Demon Copperhead yet? It was my book club choice for July and everyone loved it! If you end up reading it – be sure to tell me so we can chat more about it!
Another summer book recommendation is “Did You Hear About Kitty Karr?” – an excellent and easy read that I struggled to put down – I needed to know how it ended!!
Lastly, I am currently reading Yellowface and am about 1/5 in and am absolutely hooked!! The ethical dilemma presented in this book is truly one that could lead to some great conversations!!!
If you have already read all of the above – be sure to check out my Favorite Books page on my Amazon storefront. I have included many of my recent ‘to be read’ books on that page as well as previous book club meeting books ;).
Items I Am Shopping For or Have Recently Purchased and Love
TRAVEL NECESSITIES
I have spent this past year assessing all the items that are must haves for me when I travel.
And have found some great items that have made traveling much easier.
We were in Italy during the big European heat wave so this personal fan was a lifesaver for me!
I also finally bit the bullet and bought a fanny pack (I KNOW- THEY ARE BACK IN STYLE I GUESS!!).
And the last item that deserves individual mention is my new travel mirror! It is THE BEST for those darker hotel rooms with only the one bathroom mirror for everyone to use 🤣.
FASHION FINDS
Since travel is clearly in my head lately, I have also been looking for cute clothes for summer travel but more importantly – comfy clothes for long airplane rides!!
My new favorite travel outfit is actually these pants with this tank top and this sweatshirt!!
FOR THE HOME
And now to the fall preview!! I haven’t done a ton of looking yet but here are some of my favorites so far:
The Latest on My Blog That Might Inspire You
I feel like maybe I should apologize about now if you are a person that doesn’t enjoy traveling and this Pancakes with Pasha post is focusing way too much on all things travel…
Because for the last two months the only posts that have been written are one post with my favorite summer faux flowers and then my Finland travel posts 🤪.
However – I highly recommend checking out the Finland travel guides so that you see all the reasons that country deserves to be on your winter bucket list (again – if you are a wanderluster like me that is ;0).
Coming Soon to Pasha is Home
We can’t stop fall from coming – and honestly with how fast this year has been going – I imagine we are going to blink and it will be fall!
That said I am participating in multiple fall home tours and blog hops in the coming weeks that I will be sharing with you soon! Which is making me realize I better get my act together and actually decorate for fall ASAP so I have something to share with you for those fun posts!
And of course – more travel guides are headed your way!
I now have Nantucket Island, Provence France, AND Northern Italy travel guides to get cracking on ;0.
I hope you enjoyed reading my Pancakes with Pasha post (and if you are lucky – you are even eating pancakes while reading it!!!).
Hopefully something caught your eye, interested you, inspired you, or just plain entertained you as you read it. I would love to hear in the comments below if any of those are the case 🤍.
