Pretty Valentine’s Day flowers are one of the best parts of February. Actually – who am I kidding – it is THE best part of this month!
Envisioning chocolate, flowers, and heart emojis a lot around this time of year??
A little known fact about me? I like to buy my own flowers.
Not because I don’t like the thought when I am given flowers.
But because I am partial to only a handful of types of flowers.
And I definitely do not like large bouquets with lots of greenery.
I prefer simple flower arrangements without greenery.
That may not be the norm though.
But if are reading this post – you might already know that is my style (simple, neutral, and minimal!).
Thus my Valentine’s Day flower ideas are pretty basic but in my own humble opinion – pretty ;).
I am also joining some amazing blogger friends in sharing their pretty Valentine’s Day flowers as well so be sure ot scroll to the bottom for their inspo too 💕.

Three Ways to Have Pretty Valentine’s Day Flowers in Your Home
Trader Joe’s Flowers
A grocery store with an amazing flower section? That’s Trader Joes ;).
Walking by the flower stand at Trader Joes gives me joy. In fact, it’s usually the section of the store I take the longest in.
It is my go to for flowers. HOWEVER – I realized about three years ago that you CANNOT get flowers at Trader Joe’s the night before Valentine’s Day 😂.
My tip – if you are going to buy pretty Valentine’s Day flowers for your home here – buy them 3-5 days in advance ;).
I purchased a dozen each of white and light pink roses last week for my kitchen table and have loved their beauty for this time of year.
In fact, I might keep buying two dozen roses all the way past Easter because they are that pretty (and simple!),
Afloral Valentine’s Day Flowers
I was recently lucky enough to work with the company Afloral for neutral faux flowers for my Galentine’s Day tablescape.
Speaking of which – be sure to read my post on how to host a Galentine’s Day party!
When I saw a photo of an over the table rod with flowers on the Terrain website – I knew that was exactly what I wanted to do with an Afloral eucalyptus garland for my dessert table at the party.
The Terrain rod isn’t available until the end of March and obviously my party is in the next couple of weeks – so with a little bit of searching, I found another one that arrived within days of ordering ;).
The taupe, ivory, and blush combo of Afloral flowers on my dining room table is perfect for Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, and Easter!
They also sent me some tall pink peony stems that I placed in my large jug vase in my living room to complete my Valentine’s Day decor 🌸.
Urban Stems Valentine’s Day Flowers
My favorite online place to buy flowers!!!
You won’t be surprised to hear I take a lot of the greenery out of their bouquets though.
I bought three bouquets from them for my Galentine’s Day party last year and they literally lasted over TWO weeks! I didn’t even know that was possible!!
So yes – they are now my go-to for all flower arrangements I send ;).
I hope this post about pretty Valentine’s Day flowers was inspiring to you as we are about to start Valentine’s weekend. No matter what are doing or who you are choosing to spend it with – I hope you feel loved and cherished 💕.
