Easy and subtle Valentine’s Day decor ideas can help you embrace simplicity with touches of romance that effortlessly blend into your home.
I used to not be a big fan of the color pink.
In fact – it was one of my least favorite colors…
When my first child was born, my husband was in grad school so the majority of my new daughter’s clothes were hand me downs from my sister’s boys; i.e. not a whole lot of pink on my little baby girl.
But a whole lot of blues (which btw – is still #1 on my favorite colors list).
And somehow in the last five years, pink has not only risen on that favorites list, it has landed in the top three!
Especially the shade of blush.
So nowadays, decorating with neutral Valentine’s Day decor makes me love my home in February.
Also – blush pink can easily transition into spring decor. So there’s that ;).

Easy and Subtle Valentine’s Day Decor Ideas
In the Kitchen
I don’t go as all in for seasonal decor around my house as I do for the Christmas season.
Mainly because I am just so tired from the months of fall and holiday decorating that my brain shuts down for a bit afterwards ;0.
However, the kitchen is one of the easiest places to add a little touch of neutral Valentine’s Day decor.
If you have open shelves in your kitchen, they are one of the most fun places to decorate for the holidays.
And Valentine’s Day is no exception ❤️.
The wooden hearts are from an Instagram friend’s Etsy shop called Rustic Occasion.
She sells many different types of holiday cutouts – including Christmas, Easter, and Fourth of July ;).
I also add a touch of neutral Valentine’s Day decor to my range hood…
The felt XOXO garland is no longer being sold however here is an equally as cute substitute.
The heart wreath can be found here.
The last bit of subtle Valentine’s Day decor in my kitchen is of course – pink dish towels and heart spatulas!!
If you have been around here for a while – you are fully aware of my dish towel/spatula cabinet that is completely full because it is one of my favorite holiday decorations for each season 🤷♀️.
On the Mantel
Besides my open shelves, the family room mantel would probably be my second favorite place to put seasonal decor.
While my exact tassel garland above is no longer being sold, I found this pretty substitute on Etsy ;).
All of the items above are many years old, however I did some shopping to find very similar (if not prettier) substitutes for you linked below…
On the Table
If you have been following the blog and/or my Instagram page for any amount of time, you will know my favorite item the last couple of years has been this over the table rod.
There are so many things to hang on it throughout the year. Here is a fun pink heart garland that would look so festive on it.
Or you can just lay it in a simple white bowl too!
The bead garland below can be found here.
In the Family Room
Have you ever walked into a local decor shop and found the cutest pillow and wished you could know the maker so that you could buy more of them?
I cannot be alone in this shopping sadness…
That said – I found this three embroidered hearts pillow cover at a small shop here in my hometown and think it is just one of the cutest additions to my neutral Valentine’s Day decor collection!
I would easily buy more pillows from this maker if I even knew who it was!!
I did however recently come across this super cute embroidered heart pillow that is coming in the mail soon I hope ;).
In Random Little Spots Around the House
Consider scattering candles or fairy lights for a warm and intimate ambiance.
Consider a bowl of hearts, love quotes or even vintage cards to evoke a feeling of love as well as being easy and subtle Valentine’s Day decor for your home.
I filled my absolute favorite vase with some fluffy pink peony stems to give this desk end table a pretty Valentine’s look.
Don’t forget the power of fragrance – infuse your home with the subtle scents of fresh flowers or Valentine’s Day candles to create an inviting atmosphere.
I have linked some of my favorites below for you ;).
I hope you were able to find a little bit of inspiration in this post for some easy and subtle Valentine’s Day decor ideas.
I know with the end of Christmas season and the month of January putting many in a funk – getting ready for Valentine’s Day with a bit of pink is the perfect way to help fix a winter mood ;).
