Wondering what to get the impossible to shop for males in your life for Christmas??
I have asked many of my male friends for help putting together this gift guide for you in hopes you find something that at least one of the special guys in your life would appreciate! I also recruited my college aged daughter once again to help me with this post – she texted a bunch of her friends at school and they also contributed to this post! When my son was asked – he of course said cash… so when all else fails, cash is an obvious choice!
Let’s get started with this gift list so that we can all start checking people off our list!
But first a quick disclaimer – when I asked everyone for ideas, I did not give a price limit. This means you are going to see items on this list with a HUGE variance in prices! Hopefully you will find something on this list that jumps out at you though!!
1) A nice pullover sweater
I have always been partial to The North Face or Patagonia on the males in my life as far as casual pullovers go. In fact, the fit on both companies is actually quite flattering I have found (and that can often be tricky when it comes to male clothing!).
Here are a handful of my favorites:
2) Tire inflator
Funny story about how this product is on the list… my husband and 10-15 of his closest friends take a boys hiking trip every year. This year, they went to Escalante in Utah – and took my GMC crossover SUV.
Well, I guess there was a decent amount of backroading on this last trip. So much so that my car was returned to me with the shocks broken (please don’t even ask me what shocks are – I just know my car did not come home in the same condition it left in π).
One of my husband’s friends was disappointed (to say the least) that this product is not in every single car we own. And yes, in case you are wondering, this is the item he chose to tell me to add to this gift list. He is that serious about this being a necessary item in every single car on the road… π€·ββοΈ. I guess that has nothing to do with my broken shocks – I just needed to vent about that part…
3) A nice shaving kit
Straight from the college sophomore’s mouth (well phone actually) – I was told to add a shaving kit to the gift list. Not sure I actually believe this one but when I asked my husband his thoughts on this, he said well of course every man needs a good razor. So there you have it! The cute toiletry bag this one comes in adds to its value in my opinion!
4) For the dog owner on your list – a really nice leather leash!
This suggestion came from a really good friend of ours that just got a new puppy and is in the training stages with him. But even if your dog is older, a nice leather leash is always appreciated!
5) For the male Gen Z or millennial that you want to splurge on… how about a very popular snowboard??
That same friend that gave me the leash suggestion has a 28 yo son that he was with at the time I texted him asking for help with gift suggestions. His son immediately replied with this very specific snowboard. Honestly I had to do a little bit of research on this one because the latest model has a pink bottom and not to be stereotyping or anything but I didn’t want to suggest this snowboard to all of you guys if it is a WOMEN’S model! It isn’t btw…
6) Anything and everything related to whiskey!!
Boy is whiskey a popular drink! Honestly I am guessing it has always been a popular spirit and I finally just started noticing it. My husband has been a scotch drinker for over five years now (which I know is technically a type of whiskey). But as for me – I just started drinking whiskey cocktails in the last year or so. Did you see my cocktail recipe post with my favorite whiskey drink btw???
So I literally had college kids and my adult male friends tell me to add whiskey and whiskey glasses to the gift list! Actually anything and everything related to whiskey was suggested to me to be added FYI π.
There are so many great whiskey’s to choose from! I have linked a great article in Men’s Journal for you to see the 50 best whiskey’s and choose one from there if you would like to give a bottle of whiskey to someone this holiday (or even if you want to have some on hand in your own home!). This photo is just a few of the tasty whiskey’s we currently have in our house π₯.
7) A good (and handsome) chef’s knife
Every kitchen needs to be equipped with good knives. How about giving a knife that is also pretty on the eyes??
8) A good looking pair of sunglasses
Not going to lie – I want a pair of these!! They came highly recommended by the college boys we asked fyi… specifically this brand/model!!
9) Can never go wrong with Air Pods
Unless of course the person does not have an Apple product – if that is the case – do not buy these!!! π
10) Tools!
We recently bought quite a few items from the Ryobi One+ tools line (did you see my tutorial on how to do a board and batten wall? That’s why we bought the tools…). My husband is actually more partial to the DeWalt line (we own a drill from that brand). The rest of the B&B tools we needed I bought from the Ryobi line though…
Honestly – I just love my handy dandy electric screwdriver that I bought for myself this summer! I seriously use it ALL THE TIME!!! In fact – this is probably a great gift for anyone on your list – especially if you have a young adult that recently got their own place!!
Oh and my husband swears that the Ryobi Multi-tool product is the handiest tool ever π€ͺ.
11) ABC pants
I didn’t believe it when our good friend told us the ABC stands for anti-ball crushing… I had to google it myself to see if he was just teasing me. But nope- he wasn’t. And now these pants are on my husband’s favorite clothes list. He even at one point told me to never buy him any other type of pant again… I did btw π. But he does own plenty of these pants now as well βΊοΈππ».
12) A good flashlight!!
Flimsy unreliable flashlights are THE WORST! Everyone always appreciates a good flashlight – especially when you need it!! This is a good way to make sure there is a dependable flashlight around for your loved one π€ͺ.
13) A Home Pod speaker
This is a little on the pricey side but most everyone I know agrees a good speaker makes all the difference in your music listening experience. So if you are going to splurge on someone – make it worth it!!
14) A fun outdoor chair
This chair looks crazy comfortable to me… the fact that it reclines is so awesome! It says it is for stargazing but I know I would probably just be sleeping in it… FYI – my husband added this chair to the gift list. Asking for help with these gift blog posts sure is coming in handy for me in making my gift giving easy this year βΊοΈ.
15) An outdoor portable firepit
A smokeless wood burning firepit?? YES PLEASE!!
16) A phone/tablet/computer screen cleaner
Now seriously – don’t we all need this handy little gadget???
17) And last but certainly not least – a ukelele
For most of you that know me well – you know my husband’s hobby is playing guitar in a band (or heck – even just by himself!). So when I asked him to contribute to this gift list – I was not surprised when he added a ukulele. He is insisting that everyone would love to have a ukulele in their homes… you decide that one π€·ββοΈ. But he did do the research for you on which one you should have in your house fyi! I am guessing it will be in my house this Christmas as well…
Well that pretty much sums up all the recommendations I got this year from multiple sources in my life! For the guys I asked to help me with this list – I am sure everyone reading this says THANK YOU! And I hope you get something on this list that you would enjoy this holiday βΊοΈπ.
[…] Gifts For Him […]
I love these ideas, especially the ABC anti ball crushers.. they are so going under the tree! Leave it to a Canadian company to make a cheeky product like that haha
omg that is too funny! I didn’t even know that company was Canadian!! Makes sense now…
Pasha what a wonderful list full of great ideas! This definitely helps me with the guys in my life!ππ
thank you Anna! I hope we can all find at least one helpful thing on this list!!
