Looking for how to make an entryway cozy for Fall? Since my entryway is open to my living room, this post is sharing both spaces as inspiration for you while you decorate your own spaces this season!
It is no secret that I love neutral fall decor and what better place to add it than the first place people see when they walk in my house?
If you have read any of my previous posts regarding decor in this space, you know how happy I am with the change we made to the flooring. That is from the original honey maple to the German schmeared brick in the herringbone pattern ;).
We also added board and batten to this space and I can truly say it is one of my favorite spaces in my house now.
This post is part of a fall decor home tour group starting today! If you are coming here from my friends Ann and Anne Marie from Simply 2 Moms – hello!! They both have such beautiful homes AND since they are sharing their fall entryway tips as well – I bet you are getting so many great ideas from this tour!
If you are new here – I hope you feel welcome here in my little corner of the web. You may already have noticed that I clearly do not follow the Google search rules of only sharing expertise in one thing. I am a huge planner and am quite proud of my planning talents for so many things – not the least of which is decorating my home as well as travel itineraries.
All that to say – my blog shares it all with you in hopes to inspire, encourage, and help you live your best life 😘.
But back to this particular post which is hopefully quite helpful and inspiring for your own entryway and living room this season…

How to Make An Entryway Cozy For Fall
Group Fall Themed Items
I have grouped fall decor items in odd numbers on my entryway table, formal living room coffee table, and the built in bookcase under our stairs.
The fall colored watercolor artwork above was an early season find that is sadly no longer available.
However you could simply frame a pretty fall foliage photo you have (or can find on Shutterstock or Creative Market). I do however love this alternative I found as well…
The rope pumpkin and paper mache apples are items I have in multiple places around my fall home.
I love using metal trays throughout my fall home and the coffee table in my living room is no exception.
The metal tray above was a Target find last fall however I have found some beautiful alternatives listed below for you.
The gold pedestal vase and large earthenware vase will both be perfect for the upcoming Christmas season as well ;).
Have Cozy Throws and Festive Pillows Around
I have kept an antique chair next to my entryway table for over two decades.
In fact, the chair is one of mine and my husband’s first purchases as newlyweds in New York City ;).
Every season, I change out the throw and pillow to be festive.
Put Simple Fall Decor on the Mantel
Mantels are one of my favorite places to decorate for the seasons (I have two – the other is in my family room ;)).
However, I do still like to keep it simple and minimal. I struggle with the dusting chore when there are too many items on any given space – especially a mantel 😂.
I hope you found my suggestions on how to make an entryway cozy for Fall helpful and inspiring as you decorate your own home for this wonderful season! It is such a beautiful season of change and reflection.
And what better way to celebrate the season than decorating your home.

The next house in the fun fall home tour is my friend Lynne from My Family Thyme who is also sharing ideas for a welcoming fall entryway ;). I know her ideas will be quite helpful and inspiring for your home as well!
