Want to set an effortless Father’s Day table? The best part about setting a Father’s Day table is that dads rarely want it to be fancy or pretty. They usually care more about the food on the table and the people sitting around it more than any other detail ;).
I have joined a talented (and fun) group of women today to share some ideas on how to set an effortless Father’s Day table. And in a couple of days, this same group will be sharing an easy Father’s Day menu too!
This is a monthly series they do called Supper Club and every month they come up with a theme to inspire others with their great ideas for table decor and menus!
Such a great place to look for inspiration anytime you are looking for new ideas ;).
If you are coming here from Ann and Anne Marie of Simply 2 Moms – hi there! Thank you for taking the time to come over – I hope you gain even more inspiration from my ideas ;).
Many of the items on my effortless Father’s Day table actually came from a recent partnership with Fete Home.
This partnership could not have come at a better time as truth be told, my creative juices have been running a tad low lately ;0.
So when Fete Home reached out to me – I couldn’t have been happier when I saw their products and knew they would be perfect for a Father’s Day as well as a summer table!

What to Use for an Effortless Father’s Day Table
A Bold and Cheery Tablecloth
I am normally not a tablecloth type of person. In fact, I don’t even remember the last time I put a tablecloth on my table ;0.
So when Fete Home asked me for photos of their blue tablecloth on my outdoor table, I hesitated.
But once I actually put it on the table, I immediately fell in love with the bright, cheery look it brought to my tablescape.
It seriously made a huge difference from my usual neutral tablescapes!
Stylish Placemats and Chargers
Fete Home has the perfect summertime woven placemats with multiple color options ;).
I chose the blue to match the blues in the tablecloth and will definitely be using them again when I host my book club meeting in July.
I found these white rattan chargers that are perfect with this setup so that the colors don’t clash and the place settings don’t become too busy with the already fun tablecloth I am using ;).
Easy Linens and Tableware
About seven years ago when I first added open shelving to my kitchen (read that post here btw!), I switched out my pink flowery everyday plates that I got at my 1993 bridal shower for some classic plain white plates.
I quickly learned that having white plates or at least neutral colored plates is the most practical idea for in a kitchen! It frees up your options for creativity with napkins, tablecloths (my new obsession), and decor that don’t clash with patterned or colored plates ;0.
The last Fete Home item I added to my effortless Father’s Day table is the matching blue napkins to the placemats and tablecloth.
You can find the neutral napkin rings here, the wrapped wine glasses here, and my favorite silverware here ;).
Simple Centerpieces
While the glass hurricanes I have on this tablescape are literally over ten years old and not available anymore, I have linked some other options below that I love – especially this one that is pretty similar!
These mini faux plants are so handy to use on a summer tablescape or anywhere you need some greenery. I honestly currently have about ten of them in a variety of places around my house and backyard ;0!
I hope you were able to find a few ideas for your own effortless Father’s Day table. Remember – this day is about celebrating the special men in your life that have helped you navigate this crazy world and NOT about what the table looks like!!
My own dad passed away in 2006 but daily I still think about his words of wisdom and advice he had for me when he was here on Earth with me. And even though he won’t be sitting at this simple table with me – I know he will most certainly be with me in spirit ;).
